Nigerian trailblazer Zinoleesky has shared his new ‘YanYanYan’ video in full.
The Lagos born star merges different strands of West African music, injecting some of South Africa’s amapiano into the mix, too. Crafting his own style, a series of viral freestyles won support from afrobeats kingpins such as Davido and Kizz Daniels, before signing to Naira Marley’s label Marlian Music.
His sophomore EP ‘Grit & Lust’ is out now, and it finds Zinoleesky delivering some fantastic, ultra-catchy songwriting alongside some impeccable production. Making complex ideas feel incredibly simple, there’s an openness to his music that is accompanied by unrelenting ambition.
Hitting the UK next month for three shows, the afropiano star has just shared the ‘luxe new TG Omori directed video for his latest earworm ‘Yan Yan Yan’.
