East London soul stalwart Yazmin Lacey is back!

The ‘Morning Matters’ singer announces her long-gestating debut album ‘Voice Notes’, due next March. Coming off the back of the heartbreak meditation ‘Pieces‘, moody lead single ‘Bad Company’, produced by Dave Okumu, continues the schema of purging past demons over jazzy riffs and atmospherics.

A pensive number, Yazmin wrestles with her inner voice’s projections. She explains: “I like to call her Priscilla, we have a love hate relationship but over the years I’ve started to make peace with her/me. We often want to ignore those ugly parts of ourselves, but there’s something powerful and humbling in acknowledging it, after all she ain’t going anywhere!”

‘Voice Notes’, which arrives March 3rd, was conceived over the course of two years – voice memos the foundation for documented personal moments that form the arc of her latest chapter.
