XVR BLCK has shared his brand new project, ‘The BLCKOut (EP) Vol.1’.
Marking the first of a three-part compilation, the East London producer is setting the standards unnervingly high. Seamlessly blending the boundaries between afrobeats, trap, R&B and drill, the project approaches contemporary music from a new angle. It’s a collection of tracks that showcase the breadth of UK music, hosting performances from the likes of Nicolas Alexander, Ryan De La Cruz, SNE and 1Zer0.
Kicking things off with celebratory belter ‘Check The Portfolio’, XVR steers his listener into after-hour jams ‘Serious’ and ‘Pembeni’. Closing track ‘Eastside’ loosely pieces together an ode to Hackney, taking onboard a more hard-hitting, smoky production.
Raised on Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri and KAYTRANADA, it’s of no surprise that XVR is crafting a sound fuelled by innovation. Previously merging forces with Kojey Radical, Ms. Banks and Teedra Moses, XVR is continuously evolving with a refreshed perspective.
Produced, composed and engineered by XVR BLCK himself, ‘The BLCKOut (EP) Vol.1’ marks an exciting period for the multi-disciplinarian. Equipped with two more projects on the way, XVR is carefully planning his next steps…
