The actors appear as their Marvel characters ahead of the release of Deadpool & Wolverine

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are really ramping up their promotion for forthcoming Marvel film Deadpool & Wolverine. The duo’s latest appearance comes in the music video for Stray Kids‘ new single, “Chk Chk Boom,” which sees the actors pretending to be a weather man and a news anchor on a fictional network.

In the clip, the actors’ antics book-end the band performing the track on rooftops and city streets (with some very impressive dance moves). “Chk Chk Boom” is the lead single off Stray Kids’ new mini-album, ATE, which also dropped today. Although Reynolds and Jackman are in this particular music video, Stray Kids actually lent a different song, “Slash,” to the soundtrack of Deadpool & Wolverine

The eight-member K-pop group have a history with Deadpool and with Reynolds. In 2021, Stray Kids completed on Korean music reality show Kingdom: Legendary War, during which they performed mashup of their hit song “God’s Menu” and Blackpink’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” with an homage to Deadpool. It caught the notice of Reynolds, who started a dialogue with the band on social media.

Earlier this month, Reynolds and Jackman connected with the musicians while promoting their movie in South Korea. Reynolds posted a video of him hanging out with two of the band members, Felix and Bang Chan, which he captioned, “As they say in Seoul: Chk Chk Boom.”
