‘Vega’ Is An Exciting New Single From ION

ION, otherwise known as Jon Sadiku, has released his latest single, ‘Vega.’

Melding together indie-pop aesthetics with a trap production, the Kosovan artist is experimenting with a hybrid sound that feels entirely unique. 

For Sadiku, ION is an exciting venture, immersing himself into atmospheric, bass-heavy soundscapes and visuals. He pieces together an ethereal yet playful listen, reflective of his creative influences that range between JPEGMAFIA and LUCKI.

Last year saw the London-based artist release his sophomore EP ‘The Blizzard Awaits’, a 5-track project that dabbles in hip-hop, subtle electronics and lo-fi trap beats. ‘Vega’ extends the project’s sentiments further, layering more extreme and contrasting textures over one another. Spending much of his childhood amongst the mountains in Kosovo, there’s a distinct sense of escapism that runs through his sound.

Finding a balance between his mellow vocals and vibrant productions, the artist re-writes the music rulebook once more. Indeed, ‘Vega’ is an enticing turning point for ION.
