Fans urged to find alternative arrangements…

TRNSMT Festival has urged fans to find “alternative travel plans” with Scotrail now running an emergency timetable.
The event on Glasgow Green attracts tens of thousands of music fans, with this year’s headline acts including Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon and Calvin Harris. Further down, you can expect sets from CMAT, The Last Dinner Party, Declan McKenna, Sugababes, Rick Astley and Natasha Bedingfield.
The festival has entered its final day, but travel concerns emerged a few hours ago. The festival warned fans: “Scotrail are running a temporary timetable – please make sure you’re planning ahead if using their services today, particularly when heading home!”
Now this advice has been updated. Scotrail is running an emergency service, meaning that fans should make alternative plans when trying to get home.
The festival write on social media: “ScotRail are now operating an emergency service and they won’t have any services running after the festival tonight. Please organise alternative travel plans home.”
Fans are understandably angry – ticket holders come from across Scotland for TRNSMT, which is the country’s biggest outdoor music festival.
One writes: “What a joke. What are people supposed to do with 6 hours notice whilst at the event…”
Another rants: “Honestly no even point having things in Glasgow, worst public transport in Scotland and probably the UK…”
