New music

Sometimes you just need to go home. ZHU’s music always reflects his surroundings – so when he creates, he needs to be comfortable.
New single ‘Changes’ took him all the way back out west. Recorded in his home city of San Francisco, the track was laid down inside the beautiful, utterly historic Grace Cathedral – a local landmark, one that traces its lineage all the way back to the Gold Rush.
Left to create in his own solitary fashion, the results speak for themselves. Sonorous, fragrant R&B, the production seems to suggest huge spaces, high ceilings, and the endless sonic resonance of the cathedral building itself.
An act of devotion, ‘Changes’ seems to revel in internal shifts, each note overflowing with emotion. Out now, it comes as ZHU prepares to dip into London – he’ll play two sold out shows at Lafayette this week (August 3rd and 4th).
Tune in now.
