TRACE marks her return with brand new single ‘Too Much’.

Layering featherlight vocals over dreamy soundscapes, TRACE is carving her own journey through R&B, indie and alt-pop. Sporting an 80s-infused production, the track pieces together radiant synths, pulsing basslines and reverb, taking listeners on a journey of emotional acceptance and overcoming.

The LA-based artist first made waves with her 2016 EP ‘Low’, an intimate collection of tracks that introduced listeners to the world of TRACE. Over the years, the artist has taken a multi-disciplinary approach to her work, entering the spheres of acting and writing for the silver screen.

TRACE charts her evolution on brand new EP ‘The End Of A Feeling’. Tapping into a more subdued, otherworldly sound, it’s an exciting direction for the artist, demonstrated in the creative flair of ‘Too Much.’

Speaking on the track, TRACE expands: “Too Much’ is the purest form of sadness on my EP. I wrote this from a place of acceptance that “too much” isn’t a bad thing, but a necessary thing to get to the place of honesty and truth about oneself and about others. ‘Too Much’ is about admitting hurt, which coincides with a sense of pride being softened. It also feels like a song that is more about me and less about anyone or anything else. It introduces hints of R&B the rest of the record doesn’t really present but I think I wanted to subdue the emotions a bit. Causing perhaps a desire to reflect and move on.”
