There were dozens upon dozens of great Blu-ray box set deals during Amazon Prime Day. Unsurprisingly, some of them sold out during the two-day sales event, but one of those sold-out deals has returned. The Matrix Deja Vu Collection, a box set containing all four live-action films in the iconic science fiction series, is discounted to $38 (was $60) at Amazon and Walmart. It’s worth noting online movie storefront Gruv is the seller at both retailers, so the shipping won’t be as fast (about a week), but you’ll still get free shipping. Alternatively, you can grab the four-film collection on 1080p Blu-ray for only $15.

The Matrix: Deja Vu Collection

The first Matrix film, released all the way back in 1999, is arguably still the best of the lot and has held up surprisingly well over the years. A masterpiece of storytelling, action, special effects, and sound design, it’s a lean-and-mean blockbuster that took the world by storm and broke new ground at the time with its slow-motion choreography. It felt like almost every action film was copying Neo’s bullet-dodging acrobatics in the wake of this film’s release.

While they aren’t as highly regarded, The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions are still great movies in their own right. The Wachowski Sisters returned to direct the follow-ups, and with a bigger budget behind them, the action reached new heights across freeway chase scenes, a massive brawl in the Merovingian’s manor, and all-out war in Zion between humanity and an endless number of killer robot squids. The Matrix Resurrections is a nostalgic return to that universe, and while it’s not as grand as the films that came before it, it still has some interesting ideas and themes that it explores. There’s a large number of extras in this collection, including interviews, trailers, and behind-the-scenes featurettes.

For more Keanu Reeves movies, check out Amazon’s deal on John Wick: Chapters 1-3 on 4K Blu-ray, which drops the price to only $29. Chapter 4, unfortunately, is not much cheaper than the first three films bundled together, but if you want all four on 4K, you can grab Chapter 4 for $23. If you don’t mind standard 1080p Blu-ray, it’s worth noting Amazon has a budget-friendly box set with all four films for only $30 (this isn’t discounted, it’s just a bargain).
