UK reggae outfit The Barefoot Bandit returns with ‘Criminal Damage’.

The band have built a massive cult audience with their bass-heavy live shows, a supreme fusion of roots reggae, dub, and soulful aspects. Expanding their palette still further, The Barefoot Bandit have caught the attention of 6Music, touring the world in the process.

New album ‘Hello Welcome’ is a dynamic return, laid down at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand. The band describe the trip as “a pipedream turned true” while the record is a “dub fuelled exploration of reggae, punk and world music takes you on a journey from the South-West of England to Sout-East Asia.”

New single ‘Criminal Damage’ was distilled in a similar manner. Continually reaching outwards, the song deals with our ability to learn from our mistakes, combining moments of humour with plenty of insight.

A supreme skanker, the band say of the single…

“It is about a true event where someone we know ruined an allotment patch when they were young. The song is basically expressing that mistakes are made and you (hopefully) learn from them.”

Tune in now.
