Thandii Share Two New Albums, ‘Dream With You’ And ‘Come As You’

Margate audio voyagers Thandii have surprised fans with two new albums – ‘Dream With You’ and ‘Come As You’.

The pair blend glo-fi electronics with vintage soul, creating something that is both soothing and utterly engaging. A series of infectious sound paintings have sketched their path, with the duo – Jessica Berry and Graham Godfrey – putting you in mind of Khruangbin, say, or even Glass Beams.

Over the weekend Thandii surprised fans by sharing not one, but two studio albums. Each taps into a particular space in their creative psyche, and absorbing both gives you a full 360 of their ideas.

‘Dream With You’ takes you down a lo-fi beat path, reminiscent of those old Stones Throw mixtapes; the fudgy sound has an almost cassette tape quality, the natural effects giving it a warped quality.

Alongside this, ‘Come As You’ feels distinctly experimental, with its song-driven aspects recalling Broadcast, or even early Stereolab.

Out now on their own HaloHalo label, Thandii’s twin-album assault represents a colossal 20 tracks of new music – a veritable feast.
