Galway risers Telebox have shared new EP ‘When The Night Turns Into Day’.

The band are causing a ruckus in their native Ireland, fuelled by precocious live shows, some high profile support slots, and a string of ace singles. Indie pop that isn’t afraid to show its feelings, there’s also a directness to Telebox, a bristling thirst for melody that makes them enchanting.

New EP ‘When The Night Turns Into Day’ is out now, a stellar five-tracker that allows Telebox space to seize hold of their ambitions. Spawned by an eventful summer inter railing across Europe, it’s about embracing new experiences, and letting go of old insecurities.

Opener ‘Pilot’ is a dose of pop-fuelled energy, while ‘Following the Night’ is a gorgeous piece of sound painting. Produced by acclaimed engineer Michael O’Dowd at Lakeland Studios, the EP closes with ‘Berlin’, an ode to the German city and a reflection on their journey.

The band comment…

‘When Night Turns Into Day’ explores a vast plain of emotions felt by the band during their interrailing trip across Europe. It snapshots a series of little moments that would usually go unnoticed.

‘When Night Turns Into Day’ , the final line of the EP, is a line reminiscent of those late nights turned mornings that make us appreciate the world around us. The time frame during which the songs on the EP were written was at a point of big change for the band as members moved out and started college. The EP involves senses of frustration, joy and nostalgia which can reflect the adjustment to new surroundings.

Tune in now.
