Tears Of The Kingdom Install Size Bigger Than Breath of the Wild | GameSpot News
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is Nintendo's biggest Switch game ever based on its file size.
Reddit user bob4978135) discovered that Tears of the Kingdom has a file size of 18.2GB, which makes it the biggest Switch game of all time made by Nintendo. For comparison, the biggest Switch game from Nintendo currently is Breath of the Wild (14.4 GB).
Preorders for Tears of the Kingdom are live now. It is the first Nintendo-published game to sell for $70, as Nintendo is following PlayStation and Xbox in raising prices by $10. Nintendo has clarified that not every one of its Switch games may cost $70, however.
In other Nintendo news, The Pokemon Company have officially announced two upcoming expansions for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, last year’s entry in the mainline series. The Hidden treasure of Area Zero will be released in two parts, with Part 1: The Teal Mask arriving in Fall 2023. Part 2: The Indigo Disk is scheduled for Winter 2023, and both DLC adventures will expand beyond the borders of the Paldea region.
Part 1’s story will take place in the land of Kitakami as players embark on a field trip, visiting a land of tranquil natural expanses, local legends, and a colorful festival where new Pokemon can be encountered. Part 2’s story unfolds in Blueberry Academy, as players explore the institution as part of an exchange program. Both expansions will have over 230 Pokemon to capture from previous generations, including Ninetails, Vikavolt, and Chimecho in Part 1, and Metagross, Dewgong, and Espurr in Part 2.
If you can’t wait that long for new Scarlet and Violet content, you’re in luck because there are Tera Raids featuring new Paradox Pokemon starting today, February 27. Pokemon Scarlet will get Walking Waves, a Suicune Paradox Pokemon with the Tera Type Water, while Pokemon Violet will get Iron Leaves, a Virizion Paradox Pokemon with the Tera Type Psychic.
