After adding more European shows…

It looks like Taylor Swift won’t be headlining Glastonbury next summer.

The pop megastar was due to headline Glastonbury in 2020, before the pandemic forced its cancellation. Widely tipped to top the bill this summer, it is speculated that Taylor’s intense North American tour meant a visit to Worthy Farm was impossible.

An early bookie’s favourite to headline the Somerset bash in 2024, it seems that once more her live commitments have scuppered her plans.

Adding more European dates to her Eras schedule, Taylor Swift will play three nights at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 28th, 29th, and 30th. Excellent news for Irish fans, but – crucially – those are the nights of Glastonbury 2024’s headline spots.

So, barring a miracle – or a late night spot at the Glade accompanied by her acoustic – it looks like Taylor Swift won’t be playing Glastonbury 2024.

UK fans can console themselves with a lengthy run, opening with three nights in Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium – the home of Scottish rugby, no less – and closing with a trio of performances at London Stadium in Stratford, East London. Tickets go on sale shortly.

She did, however, have some bright news – Taylor Swift will be joined by Paramore (!) at her European dates. Holy moly, indeed!

Taylor writes online:

Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???
