Helldivers 2 Escalation of Freedom Update releases on Aug. 6th, followed by Freedom’s Flame on August 8th. These additions to the game focus primarily on fighting Terminids with fire and include some new enemies like The Impaler as well as new weapons such as the SG-451 Cookout Shotgun, Flam-66 Torcher, and P-72 Crisper Flamethrower pistol. To keep you less on fire, the game is introducing an Inflammable Armor Passive with 75% fire resistance.

In this video, we’re going to make sure you understand how fire works in Helldivers 2, including how it’s best used and what it’s good and not so good at. For starters, we’ll cover how to spray the ground in front of enemies to get additional damage over time source going.
