Squid will play London’s Scala venue on February 9th.
The band’s excellent debut album ‘Bright Green Field’ was released in 2021, a stunning display of creativity. At the time, Clash wrote: “It’s this desire for the unknown which makes ‘Bright Green Field’ such a potent debut album. Succinct yet packed with stunning detail, it refuses to take the easy way out, and that stubbornness may see Squid outstrip their peers in a head-long race towards a re-engaged future.”
Spending this year on the road, Squid have racked up a slew of live highlights – yet one show has evaded them.
The band were due to play London’s Scala venue to launch their debut album, but the pandemic got in the way. Now, Squid have arranged another show at the venue on February 9th, with Bristol band Quade in support.
As a special treat for fans, the band will include new material in the set list, matching unexpected moments to fan favourites. Tickets go on general sale this Friday (December 16th).
