LA based talent SEB has shared two new singles, ‘moving on’ and ‘sugarhoneyiceicetea’.

The double-drop is out now on Mom+Pop, and illustrates his boundary-less approach to alt-pop. Veering from lo-fi hip-hop aspects in the production through to those exquisite vocals, the two songs encompass jazz, soul and more in their short spans.

Take ‘moving on’. Glacial guitar lines and effecting lyricism, the track is bolstered by a feature from Khary. SEB comments:

“I wanted it to play out like an episode of Atlanta, where things feel surreal, mostly because of the absurdity of certain situations. But really, that’s just what I think it feels like to be Black anywhere in the world.”

Switching it up, the sensual ‘sugarhoneyiceicetea’ utilises a neat jazz-tinged breakdown. SEB is currently packing his bags for the road, hitting Brighton showcase The Great Escape before playing Lucent @ Laylow in London on May 16th.

Tune in now.
