Following his win at UFC 298, Ilia Topuria has been a pretty popular guy. A plethora of fighters have been calling him out, with Sean O’Malley even throwing his name in the hat.

In response, Topuria has both shown interest and dismissed the idea in equal measure. Essentially, for now, nobody really knows what’s next for the Georgian-Spaniard.

As for O’Malley, he’ll be defending his belt next weekend against Marlon Vera at UFC 299. Prior to that, however, ‘Suga’ has given his thoughts on why ‘El Matador’ wouldn’t want to fight him.

O’Malley questions Topuria

‘’I’m a tough fight for him and there’s a reason for that,” O’Malley said on YouTube. “Bro I’m the biggest fight for him but he’s like, ‘No I’m not fighting Sean.’ He should be wanting that unless he knows it’s a bad fight for him. I thought people would be jacked about that, but I’ve been getting so much hate. I’m gonna beat up Merab next, that’s what the people wanna see. People get what they want.”
