Fairmont Hotels & Resorts have launched their latest creative venture ‘Center Stage’.

Discovering new talent is at the heart of the intiative, offering space and resources to boundary-pushing artists from all across the globe. Now merging forces with the legendary Abbey Road Studios, the next three years will see the two set aside 1000 hours of studio time and 1000 hours of suite time to musicians, documenting their creative journey step by step.

To celebrate the launch, Fairmont hosted a dazzling night of performances at The Savoy. First to grace the stage was 0207 Def Jam’s rising star Debbie, performing the likes of ‘Cherry Wine’, ‘Is This Real Love?’ and a stripped-back rendition of Beyoncé’s ‘Crazy in Love’. It’s a pivotal time for the 23-year old, fresh off of her highlight feature on Stormzy’s third No.1 album ‘This Is What I Mean’. Yet, there’s a mature, assured strength in her voice, a touching and soulful moment for keen-eared fans and first-time listeners.

Next to ramp up the energy is viral wonder Rema, sharing his fresh take on afrobeats. Immersing his sound into African, Arabian and Indian influences, the star fills the room with an infectious buzz, a crowd full of smiles and movement. Performing TikTok game-changer ‘Soundgasm’, ‘Dumebi’ and his 2021 link-up with Skepta on ‘Dimension’, he runs through a diverse discography that begs one to question where his next steps will lie.

Fairmont suites have become spaces of treasured music history, namely a first-time performance from Tony Benett of  “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” at Fairmont San Francisco in 1962.

‘Center Stage’ is reflective of this artistic lineage, a forward-thinking venture that aims to uplift the voices and sounds of tomorrow.

Tune in now.
