Rag’n’Bone Man worked for years to make opportunities work for him. Years of graft, years of studio sessions, writing sessions; at times, his big break must have felt a long way away.

‘Human’ changed all that. Released in 2016, it became a blockbuster moment, the perfect showcase for his deep baritone voice. All that experience, all that waiting sudden came pouring out of him – here was a voice that was lived in. He was ‘Human’, after all.

A phenomenally successful debut album followed in 2017, transforming Rag’n’Bone Man into a household name. 2021’s ‘Life By Misadventure’ followed, but the singer never forgot his first hit, never forgot the moment that altered his life.

In a unique ‘song explainer’ series, Rag’n’Bone Man combines his twin loves – music and body art – to explore his catalogue. Tattoo Song Series finds the singer opening up about his processes, and his journey to date, all while set in the tattoo artist’s chair.

Rags’ tattoo artist – Tom Sorn – crafted bespoke tattoo designs during this, with the final design being unveiled at the finish.
