UK producer Otik returns with new EP ‘Extrasense’.

The electronic musician’s singular catalogue is fuelled by a desire to deconstruct club tropes, re-assembling them in an artful, immersive fashion. ‘Extrasense’ continues this tendency, via his cross-genre approach.

Opener ‘Sometimes The Nights Last For Months’ is a haunting intro, the spectral digitalism filtered through a riveting spoken word section. ‘Star Seed’ flows in a techno direction, while the warped 2-step homage ‘Dreamers’ blends skeletal electronics with UKG DNA.

Typically mesmerising, the full EP is out now – it’s also Bandcamp Friday, so if you purchase it via that platform the full monies go to Otik.

Tune in now.
