Fresh innovation from Brighton…

Brighton group Ocna return with ‘Because’.

The band’s multi-faceted approach essentially eschews genre lines, blending warped electronics to left-field guitar music. Bordering on post-rock, their inquisitive stance allows Ocna to perpetually build outwards, locating fresh vantage points for new growth.

Out now, ‘Because’ epitomises their stance, with Ocna resolutely refusing to rest on their laurels. Marking a break with what has gone before, it picks up on that PIXIES’ motif of quietLOUDquiet while taking it to fresh levels.

Absorbing, intriguing listening, ‘Because’ is a space for the Brighton experimentalists to throw caution to the wind. Ocna comment…

“We made it a song of two contrasting halves: soft, hard; dark, light. Life’s like that – it’s a dichotomy of pleasure or pain, often with no reason why. It’s empowering to accept that sometimes it’s just ‘Because’.”

Tune in now.
