mustbejohn has shared his new project ‘Losing Balance’ in full.

A true all-rounder, mustbejohn blends together electronic production with some deft rhymes. Making direct, accessible music, at times he recalls the Streets, echoing Mike Skinner’s grasp of club tropes and homespun wisdom.

There’s real originality here, too, with mustbejohn showing mature penmanship and an astute blend of light and shade in his production. Focus track ‘Waiting’ moves between bittersweet rave electronics and his spoken incantations, reminiscent of Irish act For Those I Love.
