The title references William Wordsworth…

26 · 07 · 2024

Modern classical composer Max Richter has shared new piece ‘Late And Soon’.

The composer is now operating from the English countryside, using his Studio Richter Mahr as a creative base. A purpose-built arena for creativity, it’s a minimalist, eco-conscious retreat, designed and operated by Richter and his wife, visual artist Yulia Mahr.

New album ‘In A Landscape’ is the first full length project to emerge from the studio, and it’s marked by a sense of place. This permeates ‘Late And Soon’, the latest piece to be drawn from the record, soothing balm of sonics that epitomises Max Richter’s painterly flair.

A slow-paced, entrancing work, it carries that Richter stamp while also having inter-textual resonance – the title was prompted by the William Wordsworth sonnet The World Is Too Much With Us.

Tune in now.

Catch Max Richter on tour in October playing dates across the country, including multiple performances at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
