Matthew McConaughey and his wife, Camila McConaughey, are once again ditching their pants in a new ad for their tequila brand.
The McConaugheys are celebrating National Tequila Day with a new pool-themed ad for their company, Pantalones Organic Tequila. The newly released photo is the latest in the liquor brand’s “official tequila of” campaign.
The new ad says the company is the official tequila of “not getting burned,” showing Camila McConaughey preparing to apply sunscreen while her husband lounges, pantsless, of course, by the pool. To accompany the ad, as the couple has done in the past, Pantalones released a new cocktail recipe, this time named the “Sunrise Speedo,” which the brand says is “the ultimate drink to savor by the pool,” according to a release.
The couple have released two other pantsless ads over the summer months including a pickleball-related promo in May, timed to “No Pants Day,” and a Fourth of July spot featuring the pair grilling, sans pants.
The couple launched the brand in the fall of 2023 with Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. The award-winning line of tequila is “crafted to celebrate having fun, doing good and not taking life too seriously,” according to a release.
In the brand’s first year on the market, the Añejo tequila was recently awarded the San Francisco World Spirits Competition’s highest honor, the double gold — an award given when all judges unanimously voted it the best in class. Their Blanco tequila also received a gold medal while the Reposado received the bronze.
The brand previously said in a release earlier this year that almost all of their 2024 work will be pants-free.
