Mar Omin Returns with New Single ‘No Goodbye’

Mar Omin has shared his latest single ‘No Goodbye’.

An incredibly personal and emotive release from the Amsterdam solo artist, the track submerges itself in grief and overcoming. Layering Omin’s candid vocals across a more downtempo and minimal production, ‘No Goodbye’ first allows its songwriting to take centre-stage. Yet, as the track reaches its crescendo, bustling drums and weighty guitar lines are handed their spotlight.

‘No Goodbye’ offers a glimpse into ‘Extricate,’ Omin’s upcoming, full-length debut. Across 10 tracks,the artist details his mental health journey through expansive soundscapes and evolving themes. Birthed from the process of journaling and self-understanding, each track takes a new approach and ultimately stretches the artist’s writing style further. The album invites a string of highly-skilled, experienced contributors to work alongside Omin, from guitarist Daniel Malet, to Szjerdene, and strings musician Sander Molder.

Speaking on the track, Omin explains “I wrote this song after my father died in 2015. He showed me unconditional love and how to communicate feelings through music. He was my friend and I am forever grateful for him. ‘No Goodbye’ is a song about loss, love, and longing for someone you deeply love to return once more.”
