Reclusive internet rebel MakaveliGodd returns with new single ’12’.
The powerful multi-hyphenate uses the web to spread his message, with breakthrough cut ‘Harakiri’ racking up more than six million plays.
Together with his Trash Gang collaborators, he’s built a singular catalogue, defiantly side-stepping genre norms. Returning with something new, MakaveliGodd only needs 90 seconds to make his point, moving with a punk-like disregard for the norm.
The distorted piano melody conjures a paranoid atmosphere, while the compressed drums threaten to shatter your speakers. Punchy and dynamic, ’12’ aims to “symbolise rebellion” – or so MakaveliGodd puts it.
Lyrically, he wants to confront the powers-that-be, labelling the track a “big middle finger to Uncle Sam…”
