UFC fighter Mackenzie Dern has issued a statement following her defeat to Amanda Lemos at UFC 298.
Over the course of the last few years, Mackenzie Dern has been bringing a lot of energy to the Octagon. She’s an intriguing fighter to watch and in her last couple of fights, she’s been involved in some real battles.
That includes last weekend at UFC 298 when she took on Amanda Lemos. The two traded blows for three rounds and when the dust settled, Lemos had her hand raised with a unanimous decision win.#

After the contest, which was given Fight of the Night honors, Dern took to social media to give her thoughts on what went down in Anaheim.

Amanda Lemos truly did push Mackenzie Dern all the way, but the same has to be said on the other side of things. Mackenzie knew she was the underdog heading into this one but instead of cowering away, she put her best foot forward and proved why she deserves to be in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
