Mabel’s ‘Female Intuition’ Allows Her To Trust Her Instincts

Mabel continues her journey on new single ‘Female Intuition’.

The singer opened 2024 with alacrity, clearing the decks by sharing some scintillating singles. ‘Zero’ and the superb ‘Vitamins’ were followed by the ace Shygirl link-up ‘Look At My Body Pt. II’.

Out now, ‘Female Intuition’ is an ode to femme energy, and salutes the network of women that surround her. A laser-sharp piece of pop songwriting, the lyrics are uplifting, and coupled to that soaring vocal show Mabel at her most emphatic.

‘Female Intuition’ is about how I’ve learned to trust my instincts. In every aspect of my life my female intuition is my compass and I’m so grateful for that. This track is also a celebration of all the amazing women in my life that have taught me to be strong. I dedicate this one to all the mothers, the aunties and sisters that guide and protect.

‘Female Intuition’ comes with a video sculpted by Mabel – alongside Simone Beyene – and it playfully picks up on some of the song’s core themes. The opening flips the introductory sequence of James Bond’s Goldfinger, while the voices at the end reinforce this family affair – you can hear Mabel’s mother Neneh Cherry, her cousin Miquita Oliver, and other women close to her heart.
