A neat piece of bedroom pop…

Lucas Watt has shared his new bedroom pop single ‘All My Friends’.

Out now, the new single is part of his self-contained creative universe. Working from his tiny home studio – located in a tucked away spot in the Yorkshire Dales – he’s able to work to his own desires, crafting music in his own image.

As a result, Lucas’ indie pop instincts – he’s a fan of everyone from The 1975 to Holly Humberstone – are met by a questing sonic quality, merging ambient aspects with discrete pop inflections.

Last year he supported Tim Gallagher, and also hitched a ride alongside JP Cooper at a run of UK tour dates. Fresh from a sold out Manchester show, ‘All My Friends’ taps into this energy, while also teasing out fresh shades of light and dark.

Lucas Watt comments…

“I wrote ‘All My Friends’ at the beginning of last year whilst reflecting on the strange way relationships work in our new online world. I based the whole track around the idea of being ‘ghosted’ and how it has become normal to end relationships by simply hiding behind your phone screen and not replying to that last message.”

“I feel the darker sonics of this new single define who I am musically, which is why ‘All My Friends’ has become the track that has inspired the sound of music I’m working on to be released later in the year.”

Tune in now.
