“I feel like you’ve given us an amazing first impression…”
Since their debut in 2016 and through member formation changes, the NCT Dream members grew up on the stage. Now they have finally brought their second tour, the ‘THE DREAM SHOW2: In A DREAM’, ever further beyond borders.
After sold-out arena shows in South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and Hong Kong, The London concert at the OVO Arena Wembley marked the first live performance of the septet in the English capital and the first piece of the global tour.
In a two and a half hour-long set, Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung performed for a crowd that had waited years to see the full group (fondly called 7Dream by fans) in London.
Hit singles like ‘Glitch Mode’, ‘Hot Sauce’, ‘Hello Future’ and ‘We Go Up’ did the job of firing up the audience. Thrown in the mix were also crowd-pleaser side tracks such as ‘Sorry, Heart’, ‘Dive Into You’ and ‘Irreplaceable’, which warmed the hearts of teary-eyed NCTzens.
Among the set’s highlights were the glass box choreography for ‘Quiet Down’, the vocal and rap subunit songs, the newly released English version of ‘Beatbox’ and a surprise shoutout to HRVY – the British singer featured in their special track ‘Don’t Need Your Love’, who was in the crowd.

“As it’s our first time in London, I didn’t know I would be so loved here”, confessed singer Renjun. “We’ll go home with the great energy you gave us, so really, thank you so much!”
“Thank you for making me such good memories tonight”, said the youngest member Jisung. He went on to say the group feels sad to have to leave so early, “because we wanted to stay for longer in London”.
Eldest member and rapper Mark ended the speeches section with a promise of coming back: “I feel like you’ve given us an amazing first impression. Though I have to say, next time we must have two days of our show! This is just the start!”
Going through the years and diverse eras of the eight-year-old group led by the sound of NCT Dream’s light-hearted tracks made for a nostalgic atmosphere. One that was felt and resonated by the sea of neon green – the band’s signature colour, which fans were decked in, some from head to toe, lightsticks up in the air.
NCT Dream’s ‘THE DREAM SHOW2: In A DREAM’ continues in Paris and Berlin before the subsequent US leg of the tour.
