Cordae is on a journey. The North Carolina born artist has lit up Stateside rap, with his debut album ‘The Lost Boy justly claiming plaudits on its 2019 release.

Follow up record ‘From A Bird’s Eye View’ landed earlier this year, and it seems to take Cordae to a fresh level. Astute, incisive, and punchy, his raps out-strip his peers, and place the wordsmith firmly in a field of his own.

Clash caught up with Cordae at the start of this year for an exclusive interview, one that revealed the depths of his ambitions. “Every artist is gonna feel like they’re underrated. Until I reach stadiums, I’m gonna feel underrated.”

Hitting the road, Cordae hopped over the Atlantic, completing a breathless run of European shows. Packing out London’s Electric Brixton, he illustrated his prowess with a scintillating show, drawing on the full force of his emphatic catalogue.
