Edison Chen’s streetwear label reimagines heritage Lacoste pieces through modern and youthful Chinese culture and detailing.

Lacoste has unveiled a new collaboration with Chinese streetwear label CLOT. The partnership marks Lacoste’s biggest collaboration since Pelagia Kolotouros was appointed creative director in February of last year, and the latest in a series of creative moves that have further cemented the heritage sportswear brand’s position in luxury fashion. Titled ‘LACOSTE X CLOT’, the collaboration utilises both brands’ cultural cachets for a modern spin on heritage sportswear that challenges tradition and expectations.

The brainchild of Edison Chen and Kevin Poon, CLOT has carved out a unique space in the luxury streetwear market. Since it was founded in 2003, the Hong Kong-based brand has worked to bridge the gap between East and West, offering a glimpse at modern Chinese streetwear through an array of collaborations around the globe.

Consisting of sixteen unique pieces, including two accessories, this collection blends the elevated aesthetics of vintage sportswear with modern streetwear sensibilities to create a full wardrobe that can be worn on and off the court. This collection plays within a rich colour palette befitting both Lacoste and CLOT, with heavy branding in the form of collaborative logos and bespoke co-branded patches. Fusing Lacoste’s tennis roots with martial arts tradition from CLOT’s native Hong Kong, the collaboration is an optimistic exploration of two different cultures.

The accompanying campaign was shot on the streets of Paris at the Asian arts space Pagoda Paris, in the heart of the 8th arrondissement.

The Lacoste x CLOT collection is available exclusively for Le Club Lacoste Members at lacoste.com now and will be fully available online and in stores from September 6th.
