Koala Voice have shared their brand new single ‘The Bigger The City’, released via Nika.

The track is a bold statement from the Slovene band, bringing an angsty yet assured energy to its listener. Pairing gritty acoustics with Manca Trampuš’ crystal vocals, ‘The Bigger The City’ is carried by a marching percussion, gradual yet momentous. Leaning towards a more stripped-back indie production, the song taps into themes of solitude and emptiness. It’s a new chapter for Koala Voice, a formal introduction to their fifth studio album set to release next year.

Made up of guitarist Domen Don Holc, drummer Miha Prašnikar, bass player Tilen Prašnikar and Trampuš, the quartet are no strangers to the limelight, currently amassing over 4 million streams. Having supported The Pixies and previously touring across the Balkans, North Europe, Spain and more, Koala Voice are attracting a more global crowd, sure to expand across the upcoming months.

With a string of live dates set in place, ‘The Bigger The City’ marks an exciting time for the band. Arriving alongside visuals directed by Igor Perić, the track digs deeper into Koala Voice’s discography.

Speaking on the track, the outfit reveal: “This piece for me is about loneliness. About how sometimes in familiar company you feel alone and not understood. About how quickly people forget and how some things stay with us forever. About what it’s like to be big and feel small and about all the other variations of that phrase.”

Tune in now.
