It’s out on September 20th…

Bristol based songwriter Katy J Pearson will release new album ‘Someday, Now’ on September 20th.
Katy J Pearson will play shows in London and Bristol later this month, previewing new material. Her first album in two years, ‘Someday, Now’ lands on September 20th via Heavenly Recordings, following sessions at Rockfield Studios in Wales.
Working alongside electronic producer Nathan Jenkins, aka Bullion, she’s ready to move her sound in different directions. She says:
I knew exactly who I wanted to work with, I knew exactly who my session band were going to be, I knew where I wanted to record. It felt like I was finally calling the shots for myself, and that was so empowering.
New song ‘Those Goodbyes’ leads the way, an affecting return that finds Katy J Pearson relaxing into her sound. She comments:
It’s funny, I used to feel like I had to go high for people to hear the vulnerability, but actually, singing in your natural range and being relaxed in it — I think there’s something a lot more vulnerable about that.
Tune in now.
