Justin Meyer is marking his return with brand new track ‘Living’.
An electric listen through and through, Justin Meyer is venturing further into the world of indie-pop. The track sets the tone for Meyer’s six-track EP, ‘Quarter Life’, a bold opener embracing an intricate and structured production. With shooting synths and a rhythmic percussion, the artist contrasts different styles and textures, creating a sound that feels distinctly future-facing and hopeful.
Lyrically, ‘Living’ takes an honest approach, a stark moment dedicated to “feeling like you are stuck and not living life to the fullest. It’s about going through your list of excuses as to why you’re not doing everything you are wanting to do while being hyper-aware of the fact that your time spent on earth is finite.”
The Brooklyn-based riser has already secured a string of buzzing EPs across the years, now amassing a global fanbase. With a background in music production and engineering, Meyer’s music has a slick, polished aesthetic that continues to shine across ‘Quarter Life.’ Speaking on his latest offering, Meyer expands: “‘Quarter Life’ is about having a quarter-life crisis and processing the emotions that come along with it. The themes of the songs all have to do with examining life, death, and the passage of time.”
Finding strength in vulnerability, ‘Living’ is a truly special entry point to Justin Meyer’s new chaper.
Tune in now.
