Joseph Lawrence returns with new single ‘Empty House’.

The London based artist swept into the city with a dream and a suitably impressive set of pipes, causing a stir on the jazz scene in the process. An incredible vocalist, his slim but emphatic catalogue to date is blessed with a singular purpose.

Having cut his teeth at the likes of historic Central London jazz redoubt Ronnie Scott’s, Joseph Lawrence has broadened his approach, absorbing fresh influences. An album will follow in 2023, following a short run of shows at St Pancras Old Church – the last of which takes place on December 12th.

New single ‘Empty House’ was constructed alongside collaborators Fryars, and it’s a bold, poetic offering, rich in lyrical depth. It’s not just the technicalities, however – Joseph Lawrence is able to truly sell a song, making you believe in every word.

Jazz meets soul, with a scorching saxophone solo, ‘Empty House’ is out now, accompanied by a riveting live clip, one imbued with his improvisational prowess.

Tune in now.
