Jo Mersa Marley Has Died

Jamaican-American artist Jo Mersa Marley has died.

Better known as Jo Mersa, reports from the United States indicate that the musician was found “unresponsive” in a vehicle by emergency services. News was confirmed by Jamaican journalist Abka Fitz-Henley; Jo Mersa Marley was 31 years old.

Cause of death has yet to be established for the reggae musician’s passing, although Florida radio station WZPP claims that the songwriter died of an asthma attack. (via The Sun)

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Jo Mersa Marley was the son of Stephen Marley, and the grandson of iconic reggae musician Bob Marley.
