Season 2 of Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon premieres this Sunday, June 16. While you’d normally have to pay for HBO or its streaming service Max to watch the show, Max is offering a one-week free trial to all new customers. To get the one-week free trial, use the link below and sign up for one of Max’s subscription plans. However, the deal is only available until June 23, so sign up soon.

All three plans are eligible for the free trial, including the ad-supported $10/month plan, the ad-free plan for $17, and the $21/month Ultimate plan that adds 4K streaming quality and Dolby Atmos audio for select content. Whichever plan you pick, you won’t be charged until your free trial period is over, after which your account will roll over to the paid membership unless you cancel ahead of time.

A week should be enough time to catch up on House of the Dragon’s 10-episode first season and catch the first episode or two of Season 2 before the trial runs out. However, if you would prefer to watch the show on your own time or want a physical edition of the show to put on your shelf, you can take advantage of limited time House of the Dragon Blu-ray deals at Amazon. It’s available in standard Blu-ray, 4K UHD, and steelbook editions.

House of the Dragon is set generations before Game of Thrones, during the end of Viserys I Targaryen’s reign as King of Westeros. The series follows the various members of House Targaryen as they clash for the inheritance of the Iron Throne. While House of the Dragon Season 2 kicks off this week, HBO has also announced a third season is on the way, so fans have plenty more of the show to look forward to. However, if you don’t want to wait around for seasons two and three, you can also grab the book the show is based on, Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin. The hardcover edition is available for $19 at Target and Amazon, and is eligible for both retailers’ ongoing B1G1 50% off promotions, along with a bunch of other House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones books.
