Watch the video for new single, ‘Mind’s A Lie’…

London band High Vis have announced the release of their third album ‘Guided Tour’, out October 18th via Dais Records.

The quintet ushered in their new era with ‘Mob DLA‘, and the emotionally-charged, socio-political missives continue with new single ‘Mind’s A Lie’, which moves between dance floor propulsion and stadium rock anthemics. Interpolating vocals from South London producer/DJ Ell Murphy, juxtaposed against lead vocalist Graham Sayle‘s abrasive vocal yelps, the track carries within it allusions to house and garage whilst retaining the punk-poetic feel of past albums – 2019’s ‘No Sense No Feeling‘ and 2022’s ‘Blending‘.

On ‘Guided Tour’, High Vis soar to new heights. Recorded across a few weeks at Holy Mountain Studios in London with producer Jonah Falco and regular collaborator, engineer Stanley Gravett, the album’s eleven tracks span “the spectrum of contemporary guitar music, sharpened by experience, camaraderie, and societal frustrations.”

‘Mind’s A Lie’ arrives with a cinematic video filmed in South East London, written and directed by Martina Pastori and starring Welsh movement artist Sem Osian. The gritty, street-level visual brings to life the album’s exploration of class disparity, isolation and loneliness.

Speaking about the video, Sayle shares: “I wanted to look at how quickly negative habits can take control when you lack a positive or constructive outlet for your energy. While the language of mental health provision has found fertile ground in the churn of social media, access to essential services has been decimated by the indifference of successive Tory governments. Further division has been stoked through governmental rhetoric and media scapegoating. Without adequate support in times of crisis, life can quickly spiral into an angry and isolated existence.”
