Located in Pak Khat town, within easy reach of Udon Thani or Nong Khai in Isaan, NE Thailand.
According to history, this forest hill was first occupied by migrating Laos villagers from just across the Mekong River.
They settled here for the tranquil setting and numerous wildlife.
Because of it peacefulness and suitability for Dharma practise, many travelling monks made stops here.
The highly revered monk Luang Pu Don initiated the construction of a temple, which further developed over the years.
