Francis Ngannou believes that Stipe Miocic will likely defeat Jon Jones at UFC 295.

Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic

‘The Predator’ is currently preparing for his boxing debut against Tyson Fury later this month. It has to be a little bit awkward for Francis Ngannou, considering that the UFC is staging their heavyweight title fight just a few weeks later. In early November, Jon Jones will look to defend the gold against Stipe Miocic.

As of now, ‘Bones’ is a heavy favorite to retain the gold later this year. However, Francis Ngannou feels that fans are sleeping on Stipe Miocic just a little bit. The former heavyweight champion recently previewed the fight in an interview with CBS Sports‘ Shakiel Mahjouri.

There, Francis Ngannou even picked his former rival to defeat Jon Jones next month at UFC 295. In the interview, the PFL heavyweight praised Stipe Miocic, adding that he doesn’t get the respect he deserves. With there still being questions about ‘Bones’ at heavyweight, the former champion has to go with his former opponent.

“I’ll pick Stipe,” Francis Ngannou stated when asked for a prediction between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic set for UFC 295. “Stylistically, Stipe. I fought Stipe twice, and I feel that he doesn’t have the credit that he deserves. Obviously, I won the second time, but I still know I could’ve lost that time. I know how good he is as a fighter, I mean, he fought DC three times and you can see how he fought.”

He continued, “Yeah, also this a different weight class for Jon Jones. This is heavyweight, and I think it’s slightly different from light-heavyweight. How good is Jon? He’s the best in light-heavyweight. But I think at heavyweight, he defintely gets some challenge.”

Do you agree with Francis Ngannou? Who do you got at UFC 295? Jon Jones or Stipe Miocic?
