Glasgow alt rock band Dr. Veers return with new single ‘Pedalo’.
Cult heroes in their native city, the band have earned their stripes the hard way – playing show after show, picking up fans with each performance. Debut EP ‘Who Owns the Moon’ landed back in 2020, with the four-piece using the next 12 months to experiment.
Laying down material for their incoming debut album – more on that to follow – Dr. Veers have just broken cover with new cruncher ‘Pedalo’.
Writing from experience, ‘Pedalo’ details the trials and perils of being an independent group, and efforts you have to go through in order to be heard. A punchy alt rock hymn, the song is Dr. Veers at their best – charismatic, and downright catchy.
Tapping into those early 90s influences, Dr. Veers accomplish their task from a distinctive viewpoint, adding something fresh into the mixture. They comment…
‘Pedalo’ to us is about the struggle to make it as a musician. Each verse builds on the feeling that you just need to get to the next gig, the next rehearsal, the next recording session and to keep believing in yourself. It also touches on the self-doubt that we’ve felt and the thought of time running out to achieve our dream of being a successful alt rock band.
Tune in now.
