Destiny 2 Gets A New Weapon-Focusing Feature In Season 23
Starting in Season 23, Banshee-44 will let you chase that dream roll for select foundry weapons.
Destiny 2’s resident gunsmith Banshee-44 will be offering more focusing options starting in Season 23, as players will be able to chase their dream roll of older foundry weapons next season. Bungie detailed the select weapon-focusing that Banshee-44 will offer, which will give players the chance to get fresh rolls of weapons that were offered from Season 16-19.
This also means that these weapons will be removed from the world loot pool and will only be available from Gunsmith Engrams and focusing, while Banshee-44 will no longer offer a selection of Legendary-class shops from his shop. For the initial selection, a number of great weapons from Suros, Hakke, Veist, and Omolon will be offered, including popular options like Taipan-4fr, Lodbrok-C, and Snorri FR5.

Later in Season 24, Bungie plans to update the list with Season 20 weapons for existing foundries and will add a new category for Field-Forged weapons. More weapons will be removed from the world pool–Contingency Plan, Legal Action II, The Number, Memory Interdict, Pleiades Corrector, The Deicide, The Vision, and Stochastic Variable–and they will not be available from Gunsmith Engrams or focusing either. The good news is that wandering arms dealer Xur will occasionally offer these weapons as part of his weekend inventory.
Banshee-44 will offer weapons from two foundries at a time, and after each daily reset, one of these foundries will be rotated out for the other. Essentially, each weapons foundry will be highlighted for two consecutive days at a time, and after the fourth day, the cycle will repeat itself. As for costs, you won’t need to spend too much Glimmer on fresh weapon rolls. You will need several Gunsmith Engrams per weapon instance, which don’t drop too often, but Season 23 will see these engrams made available from more sources.
