Photographer Johnny Dufort offers a playful approach to Schiaparelli’s signature opulence and glamour.

20 · 09 · 2024

Daniel Roseberry has enlisted British photographer Johnny Dufort to lens his first-ever campaign for Schiaparelli. Appointed creative director back in 2019, Roseberry recently expanded his transformative couture offerings into ready-to-wear, marking a new era of artful extravagance for womenswear.

Speaking to Vogue Business ahead of the show, Roseberry said: “When you close your eyes and you think about the house, and you think about the Schiaparelli woman, you need to be able to think about the everyday-ness of the brand as well. Not just the extraordinary moments.”

The campaign is uniquely fresh. Captured moments after the Schiaparelli autumn-winter 2024 show in February, the team noted a chill outside the Place Vendôme as Dufort impressed his unique sense of living glamour onto the Maison’s newest collection. The campaign is playful and gritty, catching the blaring lights of passing cars and the flash of Dufort’s own camera in mirrored reflections, breathing life and an “everyday-ness” into opulent gowns, patent leather minis and gold-capped accessories.
