Dan Abrams is sticking with NewsNation.
The Nexstar-owned cable news channel has signed the anchor to a new multi-year deal, locking him as its 9 p.m. host for the foreseeable future.
Abrams has hosted Dan Abrams Live on the channel for the past two years, becoming a centerpiece of its primetime lineup.
“Dan is a veteran and master journalist whose passion for media and law and crime has made him one of the most unrivaled in the industry,” said Nexstar Networks president Sean Compton in a statement. “We are pleased that he will remain at NewsNation as we continue to build a premier cable news network with a distinct mission of fair and unbiased news reporting.”
“Continuing my show with NewsNation is particularly exciting because over the last two years this has been one of those rare professional experiences where everything has been as promised,” Abrams added. “Every story we cover, every angle I take, comes from my team and me and that makes it fun, challenging, and fulfilling. Dan Abrams Live will continue to build on our resonating mission with politically sensible takes on the stories of the day.”
A media veteran, Abrams also serves as ABC News’ chief legal affairs analyst, a SiriusXM host, and the host of Reelz’ On Patrol: Live. He previously anchored a program for MSNBC (where he also served a stint as GM), and hosted A&E’s Live PD.
