The avant pop voyager continues to explore fresh climes, seeming to chart a different creative unique with each passing release. Amassing a regular crew of like-minds, daine also reaches out to some enthralling collaborators to produce something truly idiosyncratic.

Incoming project ‘Shapeless’ is out on February 24th – order it online – and a fresh preview has just gone online. Out now, ‘Portal’ melds together breaks-fuelled bedlam with hyper-futuristic digi-pop aspects, somehow retaining those contradictory aspects in its gravitational pull.

Waylon Dean steps in on production, with daine joined by regular collaborators hearteyes and Lonelyspeck. It’s a team effort, but ultimately daine’s voice is loudest, and they remain one of the most enthralling – and ultimately uncategorisable – voices in pop’s left-field.
