“Bad bitch fumbler, you should run a seminar, use that med degree to put more salt in the wound like I was a soldier.”

West London artist CARI has shared her new single ‘Bleeding’.

Produced by fellow RnB wunderkind tendai, the hypnotic ‘Bleeding’ follows CARI’s debut single ‘Colder In June and captures the feelings of breakup angst and romantic disenchantment.

Of the track, CARI explains: “It’s how I rid myself of the remnant feelings I had towards my previous relationship, and the last time I will ever write about it. It details the journey you go on when you try to be mature and take equal responsibility for what happened, all while feeling resentful.

CARI draws from a diverse musical upbringing; her father specialised in Rare Groove and her mother brought her up on the classic RnB pantheon. ‘Bleeding’ takes listeners on a journey of self-discovery and resilience, and conveys CARI’s sense of attentiveness and perception when approaching her craft. In her music, she invokes her Grenadian heritage and “is ready to bring the gospel of love, expression – and sin – from the church to the streets.”
