Houston rap legend Bun B’s awesome burger sensation Trill Burgers has finally found a home, albeit temporarily. As expected, Trill Burgers will grill some of its signature burgers served during pop-up events, including OG Burger. Consisting of two crushed beef patties topped pickles, caramelized onions, American cheese, and Trill sauce, the burger remains a main menu item, along with the Vegan OG burger topped vegan cheese vegan mayonnaise. Although typically a two-meat smash burger model, Trill Burgers will also offer single and triple patties, as well as Baby G burgers for kids, and Texas-owned Dr. Pepper company will provide fountain drinks. Chef partners Mike Pham and Fernando Valladares will also reportedly introduce new menu items at Trill Burgers’ grand opening in the coming weeks. Painted in striking yellow and black, the 3,236-square-foot restaurant definitely has Bun B’s imprint on it. The restaurant features his likeness on burger boxes, and inside is a “Trill” mural that pays homage to Pimp C, his former UGK partner, who in 2007, along with a rest in peace mural. With 125 seats in a mix of picnic tables square tables chairs, Trill Burgers will initially offer food delivery on-site ordering, followed by drive-through service later online or phone ordering. The pop-up followed this up with a four-week stay in Las Vegas at two hotels where burgers were served, allowing the owners of Trill Burgers to witness how burger can be prepared, scaled, and replicated at various locations. The Trill Burgers team announced that it found its last place in December.
