Bonobo, Jacques Green Combine On ‘Fold’

Bonobo and Jacques Green combine on new single ‘Fold’.

The two met at Bonobo’s LA studio recently, and began swapping ideas. Taking these drafts out on the road, the duo tested them out – separately – teasing the material into different shapes.

Reconvening, Bonobo and Jacques Green brought ‘Fold’ to completion and it’s a neat fusion of their differing styles. The vivid light of the Montreal producer’s work comes through, alongside Bonobo’s careful world-building.

Bonobo comments…

“Phil (stage name Jacques Greene) was in LA and stopped by for a coffee and studio hang. We made the bulk of the track that day. We each played a few various versions in our DJ sets over the summer (I even dropped it in a live show once) and made some decisions on how to finish it. It’s been going down really well in my DJ sets. Excited to get it out there finally…” 

Bonobo is up for Best Dance Act at this year’s BRIT Awards – it’s a public vote, too.
